3. Purpose and Legal Basis of Camera Monitoring Activities
Başak Gıda conducts camera monitoring activities in its buildings and facilities to ensure security. These activities are carried out:

  • In accordance with the Private Security Services Law No. 5188 and related regulations,
  • Under Article 5 of the Personal Data Protection Law (KVK Law), based on the legitimate interests of the data controller.

4. Monitoring Areas and Purpose Limitation
Camera monitoring activities are conducted only in areas serving the purpose of ensuring security (e.g., entrances, exits, parking areas, corridors). Monitoring is not conducted in areas where privacy could be violated (e.g., dressing rooms, restrooms).

5. Retention Period of Records
Camera recordings are stored for a maximum of 60 days in compliance with legal requirements.

6. Data Sharing

  • Only authorized personnel can access camera recordings.
  • If necessary, recordings may be shared with authorized public institutions as per legal requests (e.g., a request from a prosecutor or court).

7. Deletion of Data and Data Subject Rights
Personal data is deleted, destroyed, or anonymized if the reasons for its processing no longer exist.
Under Article 11 of the Personal Data Protection Law, data subjects have the right to:

  • Learn whether their personal data is being processed,
  • Understand the purpose of processing and its use,
  • Request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data.
